Hi there,
To clarify, you are trying to copy the contents of your Google Doc and paste it into the WordPress editor?
Or do you mean that you are trying to “embed” your google doc so it appears separately from the text entered in the WordPress editor like you see discussed here? https://wordpress.com/support/google-docs/#docs
Can we see what you have so far on one of the pages or blog posts of your site?
let us know the title so we can take a closer look. Any detail you can give us as to the steps you are using will help us to troubleshoot, thanks!Whenever I try to post the doc i get the same error message: ‘TypeError: element.getText is not a function.’ so now I am stuck because that means nothing me.
I think it will help to see this error message, as well as the entire view of the page for added context. Can you share a screenshot of this? To share a screenshot with us, you can upload it to the Media Library on your site, and then copy the image URL. You can see a video of how to do this here: https://d.pr/v/Fcnerp
Once you have the image URL just paste it into your reply and we will be able to see your screenshot, thanks!

Hi, I think I’m having the same problem. I am attempting to use the Google Docs add-on for WordPress.com. It has worked for me a few times, but yesterday, I started getting this error message: TypeError: element.getText is not a function
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the add-on but continue to get the error message. Can anyone help?

Thanks for that. It looks like your site is not hosted here at WordPress.com but instead using the Jetpack plugin to add that functionality.
Please reach out to Jetpack support so they can see why it’s not working for your site.
Thanks!
