  Hi ! I have a question that crunches me : Is only the page rank that influences the listing order of google search? I heard that the page rank depends ONLY of backlinks.. so the site’s traffic does not influence the listing order in search engine’s results?

  There are many factors that are considered in the Google pageranking algorithm. Backlinks are a very influential factor. Without doubt the number of backlinks received by your blog and the posts in it from other sites is an indication of the “popularity” of your blog and its authority in the niche.

  These are the positive factors that Google’s algorithm takes into consideration:
  1. Keyword Use In Title Tag
  2. Global Link Popularity Of The Site
  3. Anchor Text Of Incoming Links
  4. Link Popularity Within The Site
  5. Age Of The Site

  These are the negative factors that Google’s algorithm takes into consideration:
  1. Server Is Often Inaccessible To Googlebot
  2. Content Which Is Very Similar Or Duplicate to Existing Content On The Web
  3. External Links To Low Quality Sites
  4. Participation In Link Schemes or Actively Selling Links
  5. Duplicate Meta Tags On More Pages

  Google claims that there are more than 200 factors they consider to determine relevancy. They call PageRank what you mention about backlinks. It is the only factor mentioned in the following page and must be the main factor.

  In short, there is no definite answer to your question because Google doesn’t say.

  ok, thank you :) But is there a way to set my main blog’s tags? for example “hand rendering blog” … like we use to set in the websites? except the article’s tags

  You can set ONE default category for your blog, but not more than one. WP.com prefers that you customize them to each post.
