Google redirect / 404 / php error
-
Hi – I haven’t looked at my blog for awhile, but I do update all plugins remotely (I have Wordfence which prompts me to). I can still view my site if I enter the address directly into the address bar. But I started getting Google errors, and searched my site on Google. I found that the link in Google doesn’t go to my site, but to a 404 page with this error message:
Not Found
The requested URL /booboo-callida.php was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.I tried restoring to an older version via Updraft, disabling all plugins, searching my Godaddy file manager / SQL, nothing. I can’t figure out if I was somehow hacked, or if something got changed on my .htaccess file, or something else. I basically stopped writing in my blog because I was spending so much more time trying to put out fires and fix WordPress errors than I ever spent writing – it became just not worth my time. But I’d really like to fix this; my blog’s been around for almost 10 years and people do still view it (when they can). I’m also considering moving it to another provider (i.e. not Godaddy) and want to fix this first. Any ideas (that I can conceivably follow, with my minimal / nonexistent coding ability? Thanks so much.

Hi Jennifer!
I’m afraid that, your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted with GoDaddy.
Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers. You can read more about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com here:
You can look for help at the community forums here: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
http://wordpress.org/support/ is also a great resource for sites using the open-source WordPress.org software.
