Google says "Site host name, does not match your SSL" – HELP!
-
I need a new SSL certificate per Google crawler. I haven’t done anything to my website except pay for an address (about a year ago). HELP!!!
Here’s there e-mail:
Site host name, https://atomicfangirl.com, does not match your SSL certificate Subject Name
We have noticed that the host name of your site, https://atomicfangirl.com, does not match any of the “Subject Names” in your SSL certificate, which were:
*.wordpress.com
wordpress.com
As a result, many web browsers will block users from accessing your site, or display a security warning message when your site is accessed.Recommended action
To correct this problem, please get a new SSL certificate by a Certificate Authority (CA) with a “Subject Name” or “Subject Alternative DNS Names” that matches your host name.****
Please help! I’m coming up on Summer movie season, and will (hopefully) get a lot of traffic with new studio connections. Please, please help!

If you are trying to access a site on WordPress.com with a custom domain (like yours) using the https:// version of the address, you will get an SSL warning (which will vary a bit between browsers). This is expected, because WordPress.com doesn’t support SSL for mapped domains. You do not need a certificate, and this is the same situation that has always existed on WordPress.com, so there’s no need to worry about it.

So…. Getting a security warning when people click to get to my site has been normal? That’s not comforting.
And I just got another email with the exact same warning. Will I be getting these daily, now?

I’ve just posted a sticky post in the forums addressing this issue in more detail:
