Google search console verification

    Hello! I have been sweating for two days now trying to verify my blog on google search console. I have completed all the steps on this support pagehttps://wordpress.com/support/webmaster-tools/ but at the end of the process, the verification is still not happening. Can someone explain why it refuses to work?

    Hi there – This process can take a good bit of patience at times; thanks so much for hanging in there!

    One of the more common sticking points is the URL that’s entered. A couple of questions we have for you to see where we can help best.

    1. Can you share with us the exact URL you are entering when you try to verify? For example, are you entering https://litforqueers.wordpress.com/ or are you entering litforqueers.wordpress.com? Or something else?

    2. You mention it refuses to work. Are you seeing an error message? If so, what’s the exact error text you see when it fails? Or, are you seeing something else when it fails? Let us know!

    I did the same exact thing I’ve done for the past two days just now ( I was trying to write down the error it was giving) and it worked? I have no idea what changed, but I appreciate your response and your willingness to help me. :)
