Google Search Console verification of website — constantly failing!

Okay, now I’ve tried every imaginable way of copying that HTML code into several places on my WP dashboard, clicking ‘save settings’, going back to my Google account and clicking ‘confirm’… Only to get an error notification.
There is nothing more I can do on my own. Somebody please help!!

WordPress.COM support docs apply only to WordPress.COM hosted sites.
getconfidencecoaching.com is a wordpress.ORG software install on paid hosting, hosted by One.com, not by wordpress.COM.
That site is not on our WordPress.COM servers. You are posting to the wrong support forum.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Okay. Now I’ve created a profile and logged in to those forums, and it say this:
Before posting, make sure it’s about a self hosted WordPress.org site and not a WordPress.com site (See WordPress.com vs WordPress.org to be sure).
So what do I do then?
