Google search results displaying wrong author name.

  Hi I couldn’t find an answer to this question anywhere else on this site, and was wondering if you could help me. When I search for a post from my blog in Google (for example if you search ‘aokigahara’ my post is the second hit that turns up) underneath the link it says ‘By M Game Over’ I was wondering why it says that, and how to change it to my actual name? Thanks a lot!

  Try Dashboard >> Users >> My Profile >> Change displayed name

  Then wait several months for Google to update their Cache etc.

  Thanks for the reply. I double checked that before posting here, my full name is displayed there and has been since I started the blog last year. So that can’t be it…

  I looked at you site and at the bottom of the Post it shows by endofthegame – maybe another person in the forum has more insight and can help

  It can take Google and other search engines a long time to clear their caches
