google search shows all my posts with the same summary

    I did a Google search for my blog. When I extended the results, I saw that all of the posts on my wordpress.com blog show the same summary — a summary I’ve used for my main page. The individual posts should have totally different summaries. I asked in the Google forum about this, and someone suggested I use an SEO Pack. From what I gather, we cannot use the SEO Pack on wordpress.com blogs. How can I straighten this out so that the individual posts show their own summaries?

    WordPress.com blogs are SEO friendly.

    And yes you can’t use a external plugin.

    For me the summarys are different. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=site:walkinginthemountains.com

    This is a Google issue and not uncommon in my experience.

    Of course, wordpress.com blogs are SEO friendly. I was referring to the SEO Pack, not to SEO in itself. Regarding the wordpress.com blogs, the responder at Google says, “the BASIC user interface (NO PLUGINS) allows you to add your own meta tags. If that is so, how do I do that at wordpress.com?

    It’s not so. Whoever is answering that question doesn’t know WordPress.COM. They only know WordPress.ORG.

    The link to search results you gave us shows me that all your posts have DIFFERENT excerpts. This is what you want, right? Maybe Google learned something…it happens.

    Yes, raincoaster, I’ve already gathered that the person responding to my question at Google doesn’t know wordpress.com. I’ve told her again and again that it’s wordpress.com I’m referring to, not wordpress.org, but it doesn’t seem to register. So I’m left with no answer to my question. If you look at the link I sent here in my original post, you can see in the extension for that url that all the posts have the same summary, yet the search that dreamsburnred did shows something totally different. So I did a Google blog search for the keywords I used in a particular post. I found the post in the blog search, and that also showed the same front-page summary under the post title rather than the actual post summary. So I obviously have a problem here, and no one seems able to help me with it. Google tells me to read up at wordpress. WordPress tells me that it’s a Google issue. Maybe it will straighten itself out. Maybe not.
