How do I get a sepecifc rank in Google?

    Hello,

    I just started a wordpress for my psych/folk band Backwords. We have been using our old site ”backwordsmusic.net” for a while, but we want to migrate to our new wordpress site backwordsmusic.wordpress.com, which I got to point to backwordsmusic.com — When you search ”backwords” on google – our myspace comes up first, then backwordsmusic.net comes up second with the tagline ”backwords is a rock band from brooklyn and philadelphia, they have cowboy hearts and urban souls. they love cats and bounce on stage!”

    I have two questions – 1) how can I get the new wordpress site (which is backwordsmusic.com) to appear on this google search maybe second, right under the myspace.. and secondly, how can I add the little tagline on wordpress? – similar to the one underneath the .net site (”backwords is a rock band from brooklyn and philadelphia, they have cowboy hearts and urban souls. they love cats and bounce on stage!”) – is there a place on the dashboard to write one of these?

    Unfortunately, search rankings are never as exact as that.

    The way Google handles it’s rankings is a closely guarded secret, and as long as you post good quality content, I’m sure you’ll make it towards the top, but shooting for a specific spot will just drive you crazy.
