google search won't find my blog!

hi guys,
I made a search today looking for my blog “guerrilla biscuits” and nothing showed up unless i put the blog name in double quotation marks. even then – it only found my about page. no results were shown for my article or my video. is there a setting i need to tinker with or is this just because the blog has only recently started?
thanks a bunch,
gb

You have only published two posts. It takes time for search engines to index content and if you want to expedite that then start publishing content frequently. Please also see this article for 10 tips on expediting search engine indexing of your content > OMG! I can’t find my blog on Google

Your first post in on Oct. 4 and your second on Oct. 14. It can take search engines 4-6 weeks to index a site and the fact that your About page is showing up means they have found you. It can also take 6 months or even a year for you to build up enough search engine ranking to start showing up higher in search results.
Keep posting regularly, review this support document on increasing traffic and be patient. Search engines are not instantaneous.

@guerrillabiscuits
Here’s some advice. Embedding a video into a post and providing zero textual content is not going to draw attention to that post. You need to add text that clarifies what the video is about. You also need to use a minimal combined number of Categories and/Tags that make it clear what the video contains. See here for advice on categories and tags. -
@guerrillabiscuits – as noted above – there is no reason for a search engine to pay much attention to your site – new with a nice catchy name and good idea – but no content – you state that this is a collection of writers – well how about writing? @TT also has some great ideas for getting the word out – BUT if you have no content people will not stick around or come back – have some interesting content and people will come back.
Also think about using a contact form to get your email address away from the spambots – you can also have custom fields to encourage visitors to fill in specific info.
