Google share feature not showing preview

This was an issue a long time ago, even in facebook. It was fixed. WordPress stopped handling individual support for unpaying customers (which is understandable). Soon after, this bug was reintroduced and there was no way to report it.

Since then (which has been a year) I’ve just kind of dealt with it but I’m bothered enough to report it again.

Basically, any post with less than a target number of words (something like 250 words) does not get an automatic preview when it is shared on Google+ with the G+ button.

As of now, this glitch only affects G+. Facebook and twitter appear to work correctly:

Here’s an example of the output:

As you can see, the Google+ preview is empty but the facebook preview is filled with a select bit of text. If you click the hashtag in the post you will see a year’s worth of example posts.

I was never given bug tracking numbers for the earlier version of this bug and a bunch of related bugs, otherwise I’d include them.

Thanks for looking into this. I love the service and the software. I know you guys only hear the squeaky wheels, but when we remain silent, that means we’re happy. A good product doesn’t need loud voices to know it works. It just needs content silence.
