Google share with image only inserts header text
-
On a post that contains only an image but no body text, when I press the google +1 share button the google+ entry inserts text from the webpage into the preview text field. (blog categories, date/time of post, “like this” text)
This does not affect the Facebook share button.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That’s the way G+ works. It’s optimized to feature images uploaded to itself, not linked to as posts. For linked posts, it features text. Google is subtly pushing you to upload all your images directly to it instead.

I have to disagree.
A similar issue existed with the Facebook and +1 buttons a few months ago and support was able to fix it in an update.
To add some more information, this text appears in the preview text box in the javascript popup on the wordpress site itself after pressing the +1 button, but before pressing the “share” button to confirm and post on Google+.
If the post contains a comment then this preview text fills using the comment. (which is probably also a glitch)

There is now a “remove description” button on the google share preview window that solves my problem. THANKS :D
