Google shares are all private, and can't be made public
-
My posts are shared to Google+ privately, not publically, and there’s no way to fix it. There’s a pop-up help on the Tools -> Sharing page that says I can select circles during the connection process, but I’m never asked about circles, so can’t select “public” as it suggests. I’ve tried connecting again but I’m still not asked about circles. How do I set the default sharing to be public?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
When you first set up a Publicize connection with Google, you will see a screen asking you to accept the connection between WordPress.com and Google. That screen will look something like this: https://cloudup.com/cvBDxJQ4HZl
If you select “Only you” on that screen, all of your posts will be private. You can click in the box above that to share posts with your circles, the public, or other specific people.
Do you see that option when you set up the connection with Google+?

No. I disabled NoScript and RequestPolicy in Firefox and then deleted the connection and made it again, and I did get the dialog. I changed “Your Circles” to “Public” and that seemed to go OK.
But now posts do not seem to appear at all. I tried using “publicize” to get posts to appear, but nothing shows up.
I’ll see what happens when I make a new post later.

Incidentally, here’s the Google+ page in question https://plus.google.com/u/0/b/115557107068562888410/115557107068562888410/posts

Hi there,
I’m glad you got the dialog to appear. When you enable Publicize, it will only send new posts you publish to the page you connect, so you’ll need to wait to make a new post to see the results. If you have any trouble with it after publishing a new post, please let me know!
