Google Sitemap Entry Error

  I want to add my sitemap to google but it gives the following error.

  “We encountered an error while trying to access your Sitemap. Please ensure your Sitemap follows our guidelines and can be accessed at the location you provided and then resubmit.
  and
  General HTTP error: 404 not found
  HTTP Error: 404″

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I have the same problem with my blog at

  I found this article in HELP: http://en.support.wordpress.com/sitemaps/

  I did all these steps and it still does not work.

  This is my error from Google:
  Errors
  Sitemap is HTML
  Your Sitemap appears to be an HTML page. Please use a supported sitemap format instead.

  Any ideas? thanks in advance for your help,

  @dianarasmussen – The format you need to submit to Google is your site’s URL plus /sitemap.xml

  Hi there,

  For each of your sites I’ve verified that there is a sitemap present:

  http://atopsyturvyworld.wordpress.com/sitemap.xml
  and
  http://dianarasmussen.com/sitemap.xml

  You’ll need to take these back to Google and resubmit them there and it should work fine!
