google verification domain needed?

    Hello,

    I have a free wordpress subdomain. It’s with wordpress.com not the wordpress platform you download and upload to a subdomain. That being said if I wanted to verify ownership of it with google do I need a paid domain just to do that?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    If you mean Google Analytics the answer is yes.

    Google Analytics support on WordPress.com is available as a feature of the WordPress.com Business plan. Visit Settings → Analytics under My Sites to enable Google Analytics.

    Actually it was so I could get the site index on google’s search engine. Have it crawl the site and start to index the blog so I can search it. But I think I found how to allow that to I guess happen without me needing to upload this verification code.

    I went to my site>settings and clicked the radial dot for Allow search engines to index this site. I guess this is all I need for google to start picking up the site in the search engine?
