Google Verification Issues

    Hi!
I’ve been having some issues with my site. Almost two weeks ago, my domain expired without me being notified. I had no idea. So, of course, my site was down. I figured out the issue and fixed it a few days ago. Now, my site is back up. However, I’m getting only 1 or 2 hits per day… whereas I used to get anywhere from 50 to a few hundred per day. It seems that my site does not come up in Google searches any more. Does this mean I need to wait for Google to verify my site again? I visited Google Webmaster, but my site is still there, added, verified, with all its analytics since its birth a few years ago. My site used to pop up on the very first page in searches, and I’m worried that I’m going to have to “build” to that all over again. Can anyone tell me if there’s anything I can do to fix this or what I can expect? Thanks.

It is possible that the downtime negatively affected your search results. However, as you mentioned, it looks like your site is still verified and now it’s up and running. Unfortunately, we don’t have any control over how your site appears in searches so I can’t give you a timeframe expectation. This might just require time to build back up.
