Google Verification not working

  I have done all of the required steps to verify my blog with Google Analytics. However, when I try to verify, it says it cannot find it. I have done everything correct too.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  That is odd. Then why is there an area to put the code in, and even INSTRUCTIONS on how to do it on wordpress.com ?

  Where are these instructions found? I can’t find them in our support documentation. What I found is the opposite. Moreover, I have been here for over 5 years and in all that time we have never been able to use Google Analytics on free hosted WordPress.com blogs. We can only use them on our WordPress.ORG installs http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  If you are attempting to verify your blog ownership with the major search engines then that has nothing whatsoever to do with Google Analystics. There is a special process for free hosted WordPress.com bloggers to use and it’s found here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/webmaster-tools/

  Yes that was what I was looking for. That is what I meant by Google Webmaster. I used that and couldn’t get it to work.

  Well I guess that means that you need Staff help. Here’s the link http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ You must type something such as “webmaster tools” into the searchbox. After you use the searchbox at the bottom of the page there will be a section that says “Have you found the answer to your question?” You can choose either “Yes I found the answer to my question.” or “No I didn’t find the answer to my question and I would like to contact support for help.” The no option will reveal the contact form.
