Google verification not working Add a meta tag to your site’s home page.
I’ve done this before but for my new site it isn’t working. I’ve followed all instructions to the letter & Google is “unable to verify” the site.
From webmaster tools I chose – Add a meta tag to your site’s home page.
I’ve pasted that in my wordpress/tools/Google webmaster tools & saved.
Gone back to Google webmaster & clicked verify. Not working.
I’ve also tried to find my homepage to insert the html code …any fixes please

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

To verify blog ownership of a WordPress.com blog with the major search engines you must use this process > http://en.support.wordpress.com/webmaster-tools/
Also know that even if you fail to verify the blog it doesn’t matter as the content will be indexed anyway, provided the blog visibility is public.

Note also that WordPress.com automatically supplies sitemaps for our blogs to search engines – we do nothing. http://en.support.wordpress.com/sitemaps/#xml-sitemaps-for-search-engines
