Google verification of my site

  I am trying to get my site verified by Google to associate it with my YouTube site and I can’t figure out how to upload the HTML file to the root directory. I’m sure this must be really easy but I’m not finding it. Thank you!

  Hi there,

  It’s not possible to verify via HTML file on WordPress.com. Instead, you need to click on Alternate Methods and select the Meta Tag option. That tag you can then add under My Site ->Settings ->SEO.
