Google verification – use custom domain or wordpress.com?
-
Hi, we have a premium upgrade with a custom domain (www.ibmcai.com), and I’ve already done the Google verification with the custom domain (www.ibmcai.com). I do see data in the Google webmaster tools for most sections, but some are showing no data (e.g. index status = 0 indexed, content keywords = no data available, links to site = no data available). So I’m wondering if we should register the ‘ibmcai.wordpress.com’ instead to get all the data populated in the Google webmaster tools? Please advise. Thanks!

Hello there! You’ve taken the correct action, it’s just going to take a bit of time. It can take Google 4-6 weeks to add new sites once you’ve done the verification.
Here is some more information about how WordPress.com integrates with search engines:

The hardest part is the waiting :)
Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks much and happy blogging!
