Google Verify Site

Yes, I know you can get your WP.com blog verified by Google Verify. But you can’t do it with plugins and I don’t waste my time answering questions for WP.org people, because I don’t know their answers.

Thanks for the Google verification tip. I just did it and it worked like a charm. I assume it is ok to delete that page since they have verified it.
Thanks again. :)

For all of you newbies who have never had a site or blog up before take a look at a post I did awhile back.
http://redchaos.wordpress.com/2007/03/14/how-google-ranks-you/
It explains what you need to do in order to be considered worthwhile to be indexed on Google. It is not just a matter of showing up in google searches. They need to be relevant, they have to appear within about the first 3 pages or no one will see you. Comment on my blog if you have questions or use my contact form. I don’t check the forum all that often.
It is also helpful to form partnerships with other blogs if you can. I, for example have a listing of free proxy sites at:

I happened to mention http://freeproxies.wordpress.com/ in my post and now we have built up an unofficial partnership. We end up linking to each other and sharing information very often…and as you know people linking to you raises your rankings.

Note to everyone. Don’t buy links or anything that can help you with your SEO. That can get you kicked off Google.
