Google Verify Website
-
Hi. I was able to verify http://godin3.com. However, Google “recommends” that I also verify the “www” version as well, but I can’t figure out how to do it, since I can’t isolate/open http://www.godin3.com.
Is this possible or even necessary? For instance, in Google Webmaster Tools, I can’t set http://godin3.com as my “preferred” domain until I verify the “www” version.
Thank you in advance!!!

Personally I only verified the non-www version of my domain – http://DonCharisma.org and works fine with Google Webmaster Tools. I also appear in Google results and they send me plenty of traffic.
Google’s help page actually says – “You may need to verify ownership of both the www and non-www versions of your domain.” … It doesn’t however say “You MUST” …
So my opinion is that it’s unnecessary.
In any case it doesn’t seem to me to be a WordPress.com problem (which is what this forum is for). All your WordPress site does is take a token (which Google provide) and put it on the page so Google can see ii :)
So it seems more of a support issue with Google Webmaster Tools, which you should be speaking to Google about, not us !
Here’s the Google help page – https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/44231?hl=en
Hope this helps
