Google video bar (beta) – how to make it work on WP
-
I’m attempting to add a video bar from Google to my WP site, but it isn’t working. I’m using the twenty ten theme which I think has a right sidebar width of 175px. I believe YouTube (google) smallest width for video embedding is 320px, so when I add the code to my widget for sidebar, all I get is a hyper-linked text of code rather than the actual video bar. I’ve also tried changing the video size in the embed code but I get the same results. I’m trying to use the vertical video bar, but I’d be fine with adding a horizontal video bar somewhere else on my WP if it just won’t work on the sidebar. This video bar seems to be a beta version.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You cannot embed some resticted codes into a wordpress.COM blog and ig you try to the software will strip the code out. Please see here. > http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/

Any other way of doing this because I’m trying to achieve the exact same things and there don’t seem to be any plugins that can do it well (and have been updated in the last couple of years)?

@davestallard: You cannot install plugins on a WordPress.COM blog, so perhaps you are referring to a WordPress.ORG blog and are in the wrong forum?

If you do have a WordPress.COM blog, we need the URL, starting with http://
