Google Video won’t embed
-
Hi, I know this has come up in a few recent posts, but I’ve read them all and the FAQ and still can’t get to the bottom of it.
I’m trying to embed a Google Video. My embed code is:
<embed style=”width:400px; height:326px;” id=”VideoPlayback” type=”application/x-shockwave-flash” src=”http://video.google.com/googleplayer.swf?docId=2613725429543842517&hl=en-GB” flashvars=””> </embed>From this I’ve tried numerous variations as stated in the FAQ and forum posts, I have tried:
[googlevideo=http://video.google.com/googleplayer.swf?docId=2613725429543842517&hl=en ]
[googlevideo=http://video.google.com/googleplayer.swf?docId=2613725429543842517&hl=en-GB ]
[googlevideo=http://video.google.com/googleplayer.swf?docId=2613725429543842517 ]
[googlevideo=http://video.google.com/googleplayer.swf?docId=2613725429543842517&hl ]
[googlevideo=http://video.google.com/googleplayer.swf?docId=2613725429543842517&hl=en-GB” flashvars= ]Obviously all without the space at the end. All give me the same result: a google video player box with a black screen and no video! Works fine at google video itself. Am I missing something completely obvious?
Thanks in advance!

You had the
&hl=en-GBon the end which isn’t needed.
I can’t get the actual google video to work though when I copy/paste the url into firefox – is the url valid? Try another? -
OK, so I tried uploading it again, this is the new embed code:
<embed style=”width:400px; height:326px;” id=”VideoPlayback” type=”application/x-shockwave-flash” src=”http://video.google.com/googleplayer.swf?docId=-3760678297980114056&hl=en-GB” flashvars=””> </embed>From this I put in:
[googlevideo=http://video.google.com/googleplayer.swf?docId=-3760678297980114056With a square bracket at the end as usual. Still the same result – google video player but no video!

Thanks, seems to be sorted after I cleared the cache. First upload must have been dodgy.
Thanks for your help Mark.
