google webmaster hidden page
-
I am unable to hide my page with the google webmaster code. I have tried putting it under a parent directory and going to the widget and excluding the i.d., but it still always shows on my home page under the sidebar with the other pages. I’ve tried everything but it doesn’t work.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You have to verify it first with it public, then you can set it to private. The page has to be public or Google cannot find it.

You don’t need to hide anything. A Page is too visible unless it’s hidden, and that’s too complicated to bother with. Instead, make it a regular post, not a Page. But give it a publication date of a few months ago. You do this to the right of the edit screen. Where it says “Publish immediately Edit” you hit “edit” and set the date you want. Be sure to hit “OK” before you save the post.
None of your regular readers will see the post, because it’s too “old,” but it will always be visible for Google.
