Google Webmaster Tools- Verifying your blog?

  I was just wondering about the process of ‘verifying’ a site through an application such as the Google Webmaster Tools. I’ve seen posts on the forums with instructions on how to register your blog on the major search engines. Does this apply to a blog with the .wordpress.com tag in its title? Or is it only necessary for people who have purchased their own domain?

  I would appreciate any help you could give me!

  Yup its for all domains (wordpress.com) and subdomains (happiness.wordpress.com)
