Goran Site, Paypal links from old site don't show up

    Hi, all. Thanks for help. I’m moving a non-profits webpage here using Goran. When I copy and paste their donations page, everything comes over except the individual Paypal buttons for recurring donations and the associated links. The page works on the old site, works as an independent html, but once pasted into Goran the images and links disappear. Is this not allowed? This is a non-profit horse rescue that survives off of donations. Any help is appreciated. Thanks! Pat

    Hi @refugefarms,

    It is possible to embed PayPal buttons here at WordPress.com but the steps needed to do so are a little different to “the norm.”

    You can find step-by-step guidance here:

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/get-paypal-button-code/

    We’re right here to help if questions come up as you walk through them, too.

    Thanks, siobhyb. But same things happens. I followed the link you provided. Tried three of the buttons at the bottom. I paste them into the html of my page and before I can even save changes, the code just disappears. Tried adding one to a generic “test” page I’ve set up, same thing. Sorry to be such a pest, but any other ideas? Thanks.

    Did you paste the code from PayPal’s Email tab as detailed in step number 7 of the guide? The code from the HTML tab will not work here at WordPress.com.

    The link from the Email tab needs to be wrapped around an image of a PayPal button.

    You can use the following HTML template for that:

    <a href="LINK FROM EMAIL TAB GOES HERE">
    <img alt="Donate with PayPal" src="https://www.paypalobjects.com/webstatic/en_US/btn/btn_donate_pp_142x27.png" />
    </a>

    Can you give that a try and let me know how you get on?
