  My side is set to private so I will refer to the demo page of the GORAN theme.

  I’d like to adjust the height of the menu bar, in other words make it shorter. Any advise on how to do that? I assume using CSS

  Hi there, part of the space is the site title, which you have deleted, but the div is still there. What I would suggest is to go to Customize > Site Identity and add the title and tagline back in and then un-check the “Display Site Title and Tagline” box and save. That will reduce the height at the top some. Search engines cannot “read” images, so it is always best to have a title and tagline and then by unchecking that box, it disappears from the site, but is still there for the search engines to find. If you wish to reduce the height further, add the following custom CSS and adjust the 24px top/bottom margin value as desired.
