Hi again :)
I’m back after one month and i’m trying to coming back to my testing site.
For today, just one flash question: how can i manage CSS to add the button, like the one you se in the homepage https://gorandemo.wordpress.com/ ?
I actually couldn’t find the css page to modify this template!
Thank you! :)

Hi testtotestganga,
To add the button you see on the demo;
1. Copy the code below
<a href="http://gorandemo.wordpress.com/" class="button">Button</a>2. Head over to your text editor.
3. Paste & publish!
That should take care of it,
[Personal details redacted by staff]All the best,
Chase R.
Ps.
This is where you may find the info I gave above,
they also have another style option for the button.Goran comes with two special CSS styles, button and button-minimal. You can add these classes to your links in the Text Editor, to create call to action buttons:
Seenhere.
(Near the bottom in the “Extras” section.) -
@ testtotestganga,
chaserobertson has given the correct code, but you’ll probably want to modify the destination URL (href=”link destination URL”) unless you’d like a button on your front page that goes to the theme demo page. -
Thank you for your rapid answer, chaserobertson!
I tried to put the code in my text editor, but it actually add the button under my featured image! Can you see?http://testtotestganga.wordpress.com/In the https://gorandemo.wordpress.com/ the button is on the featured image, which is more evocative, you know? What am i missing?
My homepage is a grid page template, is it correct?Thank you :)

My homepage is a grid page template, is it correct?
Not if you want the button overlaying the feature image. Use the Front Page template.
-
Yeah, but in https://gorandemo.wordpress.com/ i see an overlayed button and those 3 image after that, like a grid page :O

I was totally trying to completely understand how to recreate THAT homepage :) -

Yeah, but in https://gorandemo.wordpress.com/ i see an overlayed button and those 3 image after that, like a grid page :O
Those are the three optional featured page areas of the Front Page Template. The steps to creating the buttons displayed in the demo are given above. I’ll summarize them:
1. Set the front page to Front Page Template.
2. Insert one of the following image links into the page editor content window and save or publish the page:3. Change “http://gorandemo.wordpress.com/” in the button link to your destination of choice.
-
The image links were stripped. The “button” and “button minimal” html codes are given in the Extras section of the Goran theme support page. chaserobertson provided the first of the two codes above.
-
Thank you, i’ve completely understood everything about the button, but nothing about this your sentence: “Those are the three optional featured page areas of the Front Page Template.”
Could you please explain better what you mean? I’d like to understand how to create a normal homepage with the Front Page Template, and have 3 little children in that page, like the Goran Theme home page :)
-
BINGO! I did it! As you see, now it works https://testtotestganga.wordpress.com/ The problem is that you need to go to the customizer to change that option.. Better to explain more this kind of situation on the goran website :)
Last question: how can i modify the footer? do i need to have a premium account to look at the CSS?
-
BINGO! I did it!
Excellent. Looks great.
The problem is that you need to go to the customizer to change that option.
You can also change the page template in the Page Attributes module in the page editor on a theme with multiple templates to choose from.
Last question: how can i modify the footer? do i need to have a premium account to look at the CSS?
Yes, you can make it shorter with CSS edits (requiring a CSS custom design upgrade). However, by the WP Terms of Service agreement, you may not remove the links in the bottom bar to WordPress and the theme creator.

Hi all!
I’m sorry that I am probaby asking the same question but I can’t manage to put button and text ON the featured image. It goes under that.
I did chose Front Page Template in Pages attributes.Thank you in advance.
-
Okay, I figured that out.
Even though I’m sure I will be having more questions so if this thread is still active, it would be perfect =)
