goran theme front page

Hello, I’m using the Goran theme and have some problems with the front page.
After tweaking it, I had it looking just the way I wanted 2 days ago. The static front/home page had three featured pages chosen in the theme options. It also had 3 widgets set up under the Front Page One customization menu. Both the 3 featured pages and the 3 widgets disappeared over night and I don’t know why or how.
While I think I can add the 3 widgets again, I have no solution to displaying the 3 featured pages on the home page. These were a big argument for picking the goran theme and I’ve spent a lot of time in making the site look as I want it too. Please help me out here.

It looks like you’ve added the featured pages back to your homepage under My Site > Customize > Theme Options

Hi Chad, I’ve managed to solve it. Naming a layout scheme “default template” is a bit confusing and it didn’t do what I expected, but setting it manually to Grid page did the trick.
Anyway, thanks for reaching out so fast.

Hello, I’m back with another question regarding the grid template of the Goran front page.
How can I have the 3 featured pages link to the 3 categories of posts I have in the primary menu (i.e. brainhacks, timehacks and bodyhacks). Right now they just open a new page fron which you can then reach the categories

Hi there – it’s not possible to link featured pages to a category. One solution would be to add text widgets in the footer widget area and link those manually to your categories.
