Goran theme not displaying new header image
-
Hi, I’ve applied the Goran theme to my blog and have tried to change the header. I’ve uploaded the image, crossed it accordingly but all i am being shown is a red colour block.
I’ve re-set the whole theme to default and started again , and same problem.
Bit lost as to what to do to fix that…The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’ve got the same problem – I wanted to use this theme to set up a new (second) blog, so I tried adding a header image today before I start posting but it doesn’t show when I preview a draft posting.
The blog is a private one at present: projecthayabusa.wordpress.com

Hello Blacksheepspeaks and Befreiungskriege,
It seems that the Goran theme was designed to only show Custom Header Images on Pages, and not on Posts or the Home Page/Front Page for some strange reason(s); but I could be wrong.
It would be nice if the theme author Thomas Guillot could change this so that there is an option to show Custom Header Images on Posts and on the Home Page/Front Page.
I will add the Modlook tag to this topic so that a staff member can respond to this topic (the staff will not return until September 24th I think, and so it might take over a week for a response), and so make sure that you Subscribe to this topic so that you can get email alerts when someone responds.
Good luck,

Goran has a unique design that displays your custom header – or a page’s featured image – as a background image visible behind your static page content. For an example, here’s my test site with the custom header image of some kitties as its background:
If you set your front page display your latest posts – instead of a static page – the custom header isn’t displayed on the front page, because it would not be able to stretch to cover all the posts on your front page. This is an aesthetic decision made by the theme’s designer and I’ve updated the theme documentation to make this clearer.
If you do need a custom header to be displayed at the top of every page, post, and the homepage, you can always choose a more traditional theme that works that way – fortunately there are lots of options to pick from!

Hello Kathrynwp,
Though that/this is unfortunate to hear, thank you for explaining that, and thank you for updating the documentation.
