Goran theme ore tags
-
I can’t seem to edit more tags in Goran the normal way. I would like the more tags on this page to say “nominate”.

Is this possible? Or in Edin? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There is a workaround you could try with Custom CSS, available with the Premium or Business plan.
You would first add a custom excerpt for each child page, using something like this:
My custom excerpt for the grid page. <a class="more-link" href="https://allcmcselections.wordpress.com/nominations/frederick-cadets/">Nominate</a>The custom excerpt for pages is available in the WP Admin editor, for example here:
https://allcmcselections.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=107&action=edit
If you don’t see the Excerpt box below the post editor, open up the Screen Options panel at the top right and make sure it’s checked off to display:
Then you’d go into your Customizer’s CSS panel and add some custom CSS to hide the original “Read More” buttons on this page:
.page-id-75 .more-link[rel="bookmark"] { display: none; }Let me know how it goes.

I don’t have custom design on this particular one and I’m not happy with the newly implemented lack of ability to just buy custom design. Is there a way to do this with the “normal” way of editing a more link and not css? It seems a serious flaw in the theme that you cant edit your more links as you choose.

There isn’t a way to edit those links directly because they don’t use the More tag, but are instead coded into the theme’s Grid Page template. No themes that use a Grid Page template that I can think of would allow editing of the words on the link to the child pages. This is something you could do on a self-hosted WordPress site using a child theme to override the theme’s Grid Page template, so that is a second workaround I can think of. I realize both these workarounds aren’t ideal, though.
