Gordon – Replacing Site Title with Logo
-
I’ve run into a roadblock in altering the template of a free WordPress theme. After a day and a half of scouring the Internet for possible solutions (and making myself crazy for not being to figure it out), I come to you, hat in hand, for help.
I’m developing my own site based on the Fabthemes’ Gordon tumblog theme: http://www.fabthemes.com/gordon/ (demo: http://demo.fabthemes.com/gordon/).
Here’s my issue: instead of displaying the blog title name next to the menu (where it says Gordon in the demo), I’d like to display a logo. Every time I try to insert the image into the header’s PHP, everything shifts, throwing the theme out of alignment. Based on other posts I’ve read here, it seems like the issue might be in the CSS….and I haven’t the foggiest clue as to how fix it.
Here’s the header CSS:
/* header */ header#masthead{ border-bottom: 10px solid #aaa; height:120px; } .logo{ width:240px; float:left; margin:45px 0px 0px 0px; } .logo h1{ font-size:42px; text-transform:uppercase; font-weight:900; } .logo h1 a:link, .logo h1 a:visited{ color:#111; }Any help that you can offer will be greatly appreciated…and will save my wall from having a head-sized dent in it.
