Got $25 domain upgrade, nothing working
-
I bought the $25 domain upgrade (registration, mapping, privacy) and more than 24h later all whois services show the bought domain still as not registered. Of course it also can’t be used as it leads to nowhere.
In my dashboard under “Domains” I don’t get a “Domain Administration” link as per the instructions here,
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/domain-management/
all I have is the “Domain” link that brings me to the screen where I can choose a primary domain. The newly registered domain shows up there and has an “Edit DNS” link. But when I click on that, the top of the screen says:
“Your nameservers need to be set to NS1.WORDPRESS.COM and NS2.WORDPRESS.COM for these DNS records to work. If you have already updated the nameservers you can ignore this message; it will stop appearing soon.”
But as it is saying that now for more than a day I doubt it will change.
So what is happening here? I contacted support about the problem already yesterday and still received no reply. I’m getting a bit nervous.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Since you did not give us the Domain you are moving to we can’t do much other than tell you that it can take 24 to 72 hours for the internet to settle down.
Check and see if the registration has occurred and if the name-servers are changing:

I spaced on the “primary” part – and I just moved moved my site to WordPress.COM and mapped a second site. –
thanks

If I change the primary domain to the new one my blog is unreachable.
The link you gave, aux, show the domain to have propagated nowhere.
And still nothing from support.
-
You can’t get any real help from us until you give us the URLs involved, starting with http. Otherwise all we can do is say DNS takes up to 72 hours to settle down.
-
Forgive me for being hesistant about giving the domain out.
However, in what would it help you knowing it? Rest assured, I know to not start it with “www”.

Two minutes after filing a complaint with PayPal I got an answer from support – coincidence? ;)
The problem was on WordPress’ part.
-
You got a reply? I (and apparently others) are having the same kinds of problems for 2 days now, with no replies at all from support.

What happened to the 33 other posts on this forum? I think people should have a record of how things were handled?
-
Nothing gets deleted from the forums. They are all there, but I don’t remember seeing 33 other people with this issue. There were maybe 4 threads with a total of perhaps 8 people.
Stuff happens.
