Got Charged on my Card

  Hello,

  My name is Hafsa and my WordPress username is hafsaazhar2013. I recently noticed a charge of $389.00 in my online bank account statement made by WPCHRG.com. I would like to know if this charge was made by the WordPress site, which seems unlikely as I haven’t saved any card information in my WordPress account. I also haven’t made any upgrades in the past or recently. In fact, I logged in to my account because of this issue after more than a year. Please, I would appreciate it if someone can help me asap.

  Automattic Inc. https://automattic.com/ owns WordPress.com and other products like Akismet and VaultPress, etc. so this could be a charge related to one of them. It’s important to know that each charge is sent to the registered email address for each username account so if you have more than one username account that could be confusing you. If you have a wordpress.org account and a wordpress.com account that could be confusing you.

  Are you referring to a specific website? If so then what is the exact URL starting with http:// of the site you refer to please?

  Sorry, I forgot to add that this charge was made in Canadian dollars from my Canada Trust Visa Debit card and was transacted on May 27, 2016.
