  How does GPL works with wordpress is it allowed to sell other people theme and resell it.

  If you’re asking whether someone can take a paid GPL theme they did not make and sell it to others, I’d recommend against that: you’ll want a theme that’s well-supported and kept up to date, and that means supporting its creators.
