Gradient at top of Chunk Theme Gone on Main Page

  For some reason the gradient that is normally at the top of my blog (Chunk Theme) is gone when you look at the main page of my blog. If you click through to any individual posts, it reappears. I’m using Chrome, and it just started doing this yesterday.

  I’m using Firefox 10 and I can see the gradient on your front page and on the Pages and on the Posts as well. Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies? You can upgrade any outdated browser version here.

  I cleared my cache and cookies and upgraded Chrome, and still having this issue. I just tried IE8 and there is no gradient either, but is all white. @thesacredpath are you using Chrome?

  Also, each page that does have the gradient appears to be different. The gradient is thin on the about page and thick on posts.

  Here are some screen caps

  The gradient is there and consistent in Safari and Firefox.

  [opinion]
  Chrome has issues with CSS3 gradients. When they will fix that is anyone’s guess since the seem more interested in running up version numbers that actually fixing things.

  Internet Explorer, is, well, Internet Explorer. Standards compliance is not in Microsoft’s vocabulary – never has been. On gradients, MS requires you to create complex, obtuse filters.

  The only way to get around this would be to create a repeating PNG gradient image that could be used instead of CSS3 gradients, but that would require the Custom Design Upgrade to implement. You know, go back to mid 00’s technology so MS and Chrome don’t blow up?

  How very, very odd. I’m seeing two things.

  On the OP’s blog the header is a flat gray bar all across the top (no gradient at all) and on the site referenced in the above earlier forum I’m still seeing graduated banding instead.

  Currently using Chrome 16.0.912.77 m
