GRADING MY PLAN

    I currently have the premium plan. I am considering upgrading to the business plan but was told last week that I cannot do this as I am not the Admin. The person to initially set up this janomelife site no longer works for Janome Canada. So how can I upgrade. There HAS to be some way around this???? Please advise as soon as possible please.

    You’ll need to make contact with the owner of the site and get them to transfer ownership to another account. This will need to be done even if you don’t upgrade to a Business plan if they are the Admin and the only person who has access to renew the existing Premium plan when necessary.

    I am working on janomelife which is a JANOME CANADA BLOG. All our Corporate information is on the profile. The Toronto office chnaged address a few months back but I can supply the new address if necessary. I simply cannot believe that we can do nothing about my current problems because the staff member who initially set up janomelife no longer works for the company. People come & go – its a fact of like.
    I am the National Education Manager and Managing Editor for Social Media. I MUST be able to do something or I might be forced to close down this blog and move to another more flexible platform.

  • We consider the owner of the site to be the account who registered the site, unless that person transfers the site to another account, which is why we generally recommend making someone higher up in the organization or even just a generic corporate account the owner.

    With that said, I _think_ that’s what you’ve done here. Both the owner of the site and plan is username janomecanada and the email address is under your main site’s domain.

    In this case, I recommend following through with the steps at https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/ to simply recover access to the account.
