Graphics Place in Posts Appearing Cutoff or Too Large for Social Media Sharing WP Site
-
Is there a way after appropriately sizing an image in a site post or in featured image, to have it appear in its entirety when the post is shared on social media? Hopefully without having to adjust for each social media platform (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, and others). The site is: https://maxwellleadership.institute
Correct account: Yes
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Not that I know of, as ultimately it’s up to the individual social media platforms how they generate the previews on their end, and how they handle the images on those previews. From your site’s end you can only suggest to them which image to use, via the Opengraph tags in your site’s HTML headers. And if different platforms display the images at different sizes, the only way to prevent cropping and resizing of the images, is to suggest a different-sized image for each individual platform.
That’s not possible with sites hosted on WordPress.com, but your site at https://maxwellleadership.institute/ isn’t hosted with us. Instead, you’re using the open source WordPress.org software at another host.
This means you might be able to have a bit more control over this by using a SEO plugin like Yoast SEO – it looks like you’re already using that plugin to generate the OG tags on your site. So it would be best to contact their support directly to ask to what extent you’d be able to control this:
