    is annoying. I am trying to change my picture and when I locate the file and upload it, it is NOT showing up for me to crop or adjust, I cannot even see it! Is Gravatar NECESSARY for me to change this?! this is very frustrating, I just want to change my picture, and it should NOT be this hard. thanks.

    Hi there,

    You should be able to change your profile picture from the profile settings page:
    https://wordpress.com/me/

    Click directly on the profile picture area on that page to upload a new picture. If that’s what you’re doing and it’s not working, please try clearing your browser cache and cookies.

    Also make sure that the file you’re trying to use is a JPEG or PNG image, and that the file size is not too big. An image of about 500×500 pixels is ideal.
