  My blavatar kept changing back to the wordpress one. We created this blog as a webpage for our university club. So it does not make sense when it shows the wordpress logo. This really bothers us. Could you help with this? Would our blavatar stays if we upgrade to CSS?

  This has zero to do with upgrades. The images are cached and take time to display. If you frantically keep uploading the image over and over then you are delaying that process.
