Gravatar

Is there any way I can get rid of the green and white circle appearing above my name on my main page? I’m using this as a business site and don’t want a gravatar or anything in that spot.

If I can’t get rid of it, where do I go to select the one I want? I do not want to upload a photo.

    Thanks!

    Hi there,

I believe it is not possible to remove the Gravatar logo without the CSS customization upgrade. You can however change the Gravatar by going to your theme customizer and finding the “theme options” section. Change/remove the Gravatar email address to use someone else’s gravatar, or just a default logo.

Let me know if you need anything else!

Thanks for the help. Can I do that even for a free theme, which is what I have? I didn’t see any change/remove Gravatar options when I looked…

    Hey,

This is possible with a free theme. The “theme options” section of the customizer contains a box for a “gravatar email”, you can enter another email in that box or remove your email from it to display a stock photo.

A better option may be to use the Gravatar website. From there, you can sign in to Gravatar with WordPress (top right). Then under the “manage gravatar’s” page you’ll find a link that says “Add a new image“. After you click that, you can choose to add an image “From URL” instead of uploading one from your computer (you can use Google Images to find a good image to select from, example). From there simply follow the steps to add your new icon to your profile and your Gravatar will change on your blog!

If this doesn’t help, WordPress also has a Gravatar guide (see link) that might help with your problem.
