Gravatar, Blavatar, Avatar Size requirements?

    hi, I designed my Gravatar/Blavatar/Avatar pic with PicMonkey.com, and I put a black thin frame around it. I uploaded it to my Gravatar profile and to my wordpress blog under Users/My Profile and Settings/General. The uploaded picture from my computer has the size 80px80px.
    My problem is: The Gravatar is shown without the frame on the right and lower side in the Reader and when I “like” a post. The frame is then only seen on the left and upper side of the Gravatar. How can I change that?

    And I might add: When I take a look at my blog posts via ‘Reader/Blogs I follow’ something very strange happens: First the complete frame of my Gravatar is there, but when I scroll down for a while, suddenly the frame left and low disappears, even on the posts where I have already seen it completely.
