Gravatar contact form
-
Hi, I’ve done some looking around and I can’t find any plugins or tutorials about using Gravatars to send user information in a contact form. I figured anything that makes a website more accessible like that has got to be worthwhile and I don’t see why it hasn’t been done already as all it does is store and display user information for comment forms at the moment, why not use it for contact forms too?

Hi. If you’d like assistance, then we need the URL of your blog, starting with http:// please. Thanks.

I suspect it’s the username plus dot com and if that’s the case then it’s not a free blog from and being free hosted by wordpress.com -
timethief is correct but I’m merely raising an idea and wondering if it’s possible, would it be as simple as copying and renaming the comments.php file and input and textarea fields and i’d have to make a contact template to include contact.php.
Sorry if I’m not making sense as I’m quite new to wordpress and php scripting.

Please understand that free blogs from and being free hosted on this wordpress.com multi-user platform are using shared templates. We cannot edit themes or templates as all blogs wearing the same theme are using the same template. Consequently, only Staff can access those files and edit as every edit affects all blogs wearing the same theme. Whayt you propose is not possible here at wordpress.Com.
You do not have a wordpress.COM free hosted blog and we cannot help ypu with it at all. wordpress.COM and wordpress.ORG are completely separate sites that run on different software. To get help with php scripting you must post to the correct support forum for your software and it’s here. http://wordpress.ORG/support.
