Howdy, so I changed my Gravatar image, which is a perfect square, but the dimensions in Gravatar don’t support it and crops off the sides – HELP!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Then upload another image of the suggested size. For best practices for uploading gravatars, avatars and blavatars including recommend sizes scroll down to below the video here: http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2010/01/24/gravatar-avatar-blavatar/
Gravatars/blavatars do not show up instantly after uploading them. Gravatar images are cached and frequently take several days to display after a change. Do not keep uploading! Do not forget to select an image rating.

thanks for your reply! i’m not sure i understand what the “suggested size” is because i can’t find anywhere that gives exact dimensions, other than to say that 2400X2400 is the largest size Gravatar accepts (my image is 300×300)…? still don’t understand why Gravatar is cropping off the sides of my image, very frustrating….

Choose an image that does not have any transparency in it and scales both up and down in size without losing definition. Prepare the image prior to uploading it and make sure it’s 512 x 512 pixels or larger so it will look the best in the widest range of uses.
