Gravatar email address case sensitive…..

  I noticed I was using GetGrav, but this happens with several other sites also that use Gravatar to link an image with an email.

  Gravatar stores my email address as (email visible only to moderators and staff) but when I input (email visible only to moderators and staff) into a form that uses Gravatar, the gravatar will not come back. So I wanted to confirm that the gravatar function checks the stored email address in a CaSe SenSiTiVe way.

  If so, can you update the function to check the lowercase version only? Email addresses are the same whether upper or lower case. But if the function that checks the gravatar database only looks for exact matches (case sensitive), then it will pose a problem for some sites.

  I tried to add the SAME email address, but with different CaSe to Gravatar database, but I got an error.

  I was always curious why some forms that claim to use gravatar database did not properly pull the image even though I was 100% sure that email was correct.
