Gravatar hacked by Ask?
-
The gravatar that I use on my wordpress.com blog has been replaced by an Ask logo.
Has it been hacked? Any ideas?
Thanks

Sure… it’s on my wordpress blog: http://macwester.wordpress.com
If you scroll down it’s on the right-hand-side under the comments section you will see it next to most of the comments.
STOP PRESS: Just checked on my PC (Explorer). It’s fine and displaying as it should.
So I’ve gone back and checked where I first noticed it (on my iPad) and where my gravatar is displayed to my PC …I have an ‘Ask’ logo displaying on my iPad (Safari).
Dunno what to say.

Thank you for your help.
I’m not losing any sleep over this …but as I don’t use ‘Ask’ or feel incredibly passionate about them as a business, I don’t feel particularly obliged to be promoting them on my blog.

Please try clearing Safari’s cache on your iPad. You can do this from Settings -> Safari.

Hi macmanx …think I managed to clear the cache, but unfortunately it didn’t seem to help.
Thanks nonetheless!

Would you please take a screenshot of what you see? You can do that on an iPad by hitting Home and Power at the same time.
Unless you have access to a public sharing service, like CloudApp or DropBox, you’ll need to take it to a regular computer and upload it via Media -> Add New in your blog’s Dashboard so we can take a look.

Hi,
Apologies. I’ve been away for a couple of days. I did take a photograph (with the Ask logo in position) and can email/upload that if it’s of any use. However, the problem is no longer happening.
Fixed as far as I’m concerned – thank you both very much!
