gravatar has deleted jetpack on my self-hosted wordpress site
-
Hi, I’m so confused! I have a brand new workers.com blog site. I just signed up to gravatar so I could respond to comments with a pic etc – but now it seems to have disconnected jetpack from my site in the process. Worried I’m going to bugger up my site soon if I keep trying to fix it. Please help! Thank you kindly, Claire

Hi, I think the prob might be that the wordpress.com site is linked to clairemareewriter and I seem to have set this gravatar thing up as clairetmaree. The site is country diaries.com

is it possible to just delete what I’ve done with gravatar? Or change the login details so it corresponds to the site. i’m a bit confused as to what all my logins are! If you want to get into the dashboard of my site both password and login are [redacted]

Hi, please change your password ASAP. If you post it in a public forum like that, you’re going to get hacked. :(
If your site is on our servers, I don’t need your login and password. But I do still need a link to the site. Can you send that? It should start with http:// or www, and it probably ends in .com or something similar. And it won’t have spaces.
-
Also, for security purposes, please do not give your password to anyone. As our systems person puts it, a password is like a toothbrush: change it often, and don’t share it with anyone else.

Thanks – changed it. Didn’t realise this was posting to public forum! site is countrydiaries.com

Hi @clairetmaree, this site is still connected, no worries. It’s just connected under your other account. Are you able to find “Link to WordPress.com” in your dashboard so you can connect this account, too? No need to disconnect Jetpack. You’re just linking this account.
