Gravatar-Hovercards next to gravatar-image! (it should be on top of it!)

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi,

    I use gravatar-icons for the comments on my blog and there is this hovercard-effect on wp.com: When you hover over a gravatar-image, it gets a bit bigger and it gets slightly tilted to the left. On all wordpress.com-blogs this effect is ON TOP of the gravatar-image.

    On my site, however, this effect appears NEXT TO the gravatar-image as you can see in the comments of this article.

    Any ideas on what is wrong here and why the hovercard is shown next to the images? Thank you!

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    I see what you mean and have no answer to why this is occurring. Toolbox is a theme that’s provided as a canvass for CSS editing. Have you CSS edited this theme?

    Oops! I just noticed this thread in the CC Forum – sorry. :( The Volunteer who helps with CSS does not appear to be logged in at this time. Please be patient while waiting for him to get to this thread and offer help.

    Oh, okay. Thanks. (And yes, I have heavily CSS-edited this theme!)

    Well TSP (thesacredpath) will log-in and find this thread and help you. He’s the Volunteer who helps with CSS.

    This fixes it although I’m unclear as to why this would have to be done.

    .grav-clone {
    position: relative;
    left: 55px;
    }

    Basically I’ve offset the angled gravatar to the right by the same amount that the regular gravatar has been shifted to the left in the CSS.
