Gravatar Image I cannot remove

  • Unknown's avatar

I opened a Gravatar account in May 2009 (still have the activation email), however I cannot login to Gravatar as the account is deleted. I cannot create a new account using the same username, as it is already in use.

I have create a new WordPress.com account using the same email address, but I still cannot remove the Gravatar image, which is showing up all over the web.

How can I remove the Gravatar image?

    I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

It seems that rather than associate the Gravatar Image with the users email that it is associated with the username instead.

I deleted the WordPress.com account I created with the email address, but the username remains. Hence why it says it is in use when I tried to create a WordPress.com account (to allow me to access Gravatar.com and delete my profile avatar?

Hi there, I’ve flagged your thread for staff attention, but please mention the username account that you deleted. Thanks.

    Hi there!

Can you let us know what email address and username you used on Gravatar? Once we have that information, we’ll be better able to advise.

    Thanks!
